MEDICAL MILE

The Medical Mile is phase II of BREC's Capital Area Pathways Project. We are studying the possibility of extending the proposed phase I multi-use pathway from the Mall of Louisiana to the Baton Rouge General Medical Center and continuing to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Complex. The one-mile segment between the two medical complexes identified as the Medical Mile is a crucial segment of the pathway because of its potential usage, symbolic and unique opportunity to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle. It will provide a corridor where citizens can safely walk, run, or cycle free from automobile traffic.  see map
